BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS: Thrill as prominent Russian rocket scientist, Tor Johnson (yes, THAT Tor Johnson), barely escapes a band of blood-thirsty spies, but in eluding his captors, Tor is exposed to a deadly atomic blast that turns him into a Monster that rivals his greatest role in PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE. Filmed without sound, BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS (1961) makes the most of what little it does have. Directed by actor Coleman Francis, who would be murdered shortly afterwards, it also features Conrad Brooks (BRIDE OF THE MONSTER) and Anthony Cardoza (NIGHT OF THE GHOULS, BIGFOOT). To keep things interesting the producers even inserted a scene featuring a nude girl into the beginning of the show! BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE (1959, directed by Monte Hellman) was produced by Roger Corman in Deadwood, South Dakota. Starring Michael Forest (ATLAS, VIKING WOMEN VS THE SEA SERPENT) and Frank Wolff (THE WASP WOMAN), the story tells a genuinely scary tale of a hideous blood-sucking thing from a lonely cave that terrorizes a group of thieves as they attempt to escape with their ill-gotten loot. Presented in an enhanced widescreen progressive scan transfer of the original Filmgroup theatrical version.
