Director

In the delightful farce MEETING SPENCER, one of the great character actors of our time, Jeffrey Tambor (Arrested Development), steps into a hilariously funny leading role. During one fateful night at Frankie & Johnnie's steakhouse in Manhattan, famed (but fading) director Harris Chappell (Tambor) plans to re-launch his Broadway career after suffering a humiliating series of flops in Hollywood. He is joined for dinner by his sardonic former flame Didi (Melinda McGraw, The Dark Knight) and a struggling young actor, Spencer (Jesse Plemons, Friday Night Lights). A manic night of revelry and revelations ensues as Chappell desperately tries to find funding for his new production. Nosy reporters, arrogant actors and opportunistic agents circle Chappell like voracious vultures as his plans for a triumphant comeback spiral wildly out of control. As his play's fortunes rise and fall in between each bite of his meal, Chappell begins to think he might be better off just going mad.
